25,000 Miles.
That’s the circumference of the earth.
It’s ten times the distance across the United States.
It’s also the approximate amount of access roads owned and maintained by one of our highly valued clients; the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
Can you imagine? Twenty-five-thousand-miles. It’s mind boggling.
And guess what?
They’ve asked us to assist with the upgrades. We have an exciting opportunity to help the BPA maintain an important part of our national power transmission system. This is the very system we rely on every day to do important things like toast bread, heat water, power cars, and … oh … support industry and vital economic health and development across the Pacific Northwest.
It’s certainly an honor, and it’s also a daunting assignment.
Luckily, we get to work with fantastic people at BPA. They are excited about what they do and are working hard to fulfill the BPA’s Vision: tobe an engine of the Northwest's economic prosperity and environmental sustainability.
Now that’s an important purpose!
Our dedicated group of engineers and field personnel are traveling to different portions of that 25,000 miles, investigating problems, designing solutions, and managing construction. It’s hard work that often requires long days in remote locations.
But it’s also fun!
