Congrats Cougs!

Friday evening, November 7, Al and I joined Tim and Kelli Schauer, Kris Strickler and Paige Phillips to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Washington State University Vancouver.  The night shined with silver sparkles decking the tables and stage.  900 people celebrated the exact day, 25 year ago, the Washington State legislature established WSU Vancouver as one of four campuses making up the Washington State University system.

More than the glimmer of the evening, we were especially proud to be part of this momentous event because of the introduction we received from the recipient of our MacKay Sposito Leadership Scholarship, Joe Collins.  While Joe couldn't attend in person he left us a letter on our table.  A non-traditional student, Joe is taking engineering courses and is a leader at WSU-V.

Celebrating our community's higher education is part of how we live our commitment to our three areas of giving:  education, children and Veterans.  Joe is slated to graduate in 2016 and we plan to remain involved in sponsoring students like Joe to realize their dream of a four-year degree.  Go Cougs!  Congrats on 25 years making a difference in our community.
